5/20/2023 0 Comments Steam app windowsI couldn't get it to work unless I opened powershell as admin. I'll use double-quotes when they are actually required for a command, and single quotes to denote example commands that should be entered as plain-text. If you're comfortable with command line you can use Windows PowerShell to find the relevant paths and targets, which will allow you to copy/paste the text into notepad or whatever if you have a bunch to do at once. If someone else is struggling with it, here is how I ended up doing it:Ģ - Click on " ADD A GAME" (bottom left corner of steam)Ħ - Scroll down and open "explorer.exe" from "C:\Windows\"ħ - Leave it selected and click "ADD SELECTED PROGRAMS"ĩ - Type "shell:AppsFolder" and press "ENTER"ġ0 - Find the app or game you'd like to add to Steamġ1 - Right click on the app and choose "Create shortcut"ġ2 - Click "YES" to the shortcut being placed on the desktopġ3 - Go to your desktop and right click on the new shortcutġ5 - Write down the "Target type" or "Target" (We will need it later), after writing it down you can delete the shortcutĮXAMPLE: Target for Minecraft Bedrock: "Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_8wekyb3d8bbwe!App"ġ7 - Right click on the game "explorer" and select propertiesġ8 - Change the icon and name to fit the game you'd like to addĮXAMPLE: for Minecraft Bedrock: "shell:AppsFolder\Microsoft.MinecraftUWP_8wekyb3d8bbwe!App" Had some problems with adding my Microsoft store games to the Steam library.
